More from the Lizardman army I’m working on for a client. This time I’m working on Skinks. These guys are the test models for the unit.

The color scheme for the Skinks is an effective reverse of the previous Saurus unit’s. The pale ivory underbelly from the Saurus becomes the overall skin tone, while the red skin becomes the crests and Skinks’ underbelly. The back scales got an extra highlight of white, and the black speckling continues amongst the scales.

The unit will stand out on the table mixed in with the blocks of red and gold. More to come!

  1. They look pretty cool. Reminds me of re-imaginings of dinosaurs for NatGeo documentaries, which could only mean they look realistic.

    Keep up the good work!

    • Thanks. I love doing naturalistic color schemes when I can. So even a ‘fantastical’ unit can be grounded in some sort of reality.
