Command of Nurgle

The massive Beastmen Gor unit is almost done. The final count is 50 Gors, plus command. These fellows are that command; a musician, standard bearer, and champion. I’ll have a pic of the full unit soon.

For the banner, I wanted to get a little abstract, if only to avoid the banner being too savage, even when it’s carried into battle by Beastmen. The Chaos star extends into the field, with additional circular elements creating the 3-circle triangular symbol of Nurgle. The green is the same as some of the unit members’ clothes, while the design is an-off white spatter, with questionable origins (this is Nurgle we’re talking about). In addition, a scattering of runes cover the empty space. The banner pole is a light brown, but stained as it goes toward the banner itself.

I added extra pics of the members from the left to show more details.

  1. Nice work on the banner, loving those little runes!

  2. Love the freehand on the banner. It really adds to the quality of the regiment as a whole.

This is a great step-by-step approach to the finale where we’ll get to see the unit in its glory. Looking forward to it.

    Very nice!
